Even though the adventure of the trip alone is enough to get us excited, we want to make sure that we also serve a higher purpose. All through the rally we will be spending a considerable amount of time, effort and money to educate people about Cool Earth and the cause they support.
Cool Earth works to save rainforests – the lungs of our planet – all over the world in an effort to reduce pollution, combat global warming an save fragile ecosystems. They do this by putting the people who know most about rainforests – indigenous villagers – in control of the rainforests.
Cool Earth is currently working with sixty five rainforest villages to protect more than 350,000 acres of forests. These forests in turn act as shields for other rainforests thereby protecting millions of acres of even more forests. 90% of each donation to Cool Earth goes directly to their projects.
